AUTOSOL is excited to be attending the upcoming ProveIT Conference, a must-attend event for the Ignition and industrial automation community.

This year’s ProveIT conference is especially meaningful for our team as we look forward to connecting with Ignition users across oil & gas, particularly as AUTOSOL has recently joined the Inductive Automation ecosystem as an Ignition Technology Partner. ProveIT has long been a space for real-world conversations, and we’re excited to engage with customers and partners navigating the realities of modern industrial data architectures.

Lisa Clark Presentation: UNS for Oil & Gas: Why Our Industry is Different

On Thursday, Feb 19th, AUTOSOL’s Lisa Clark will present:

“UNS for Oil & Gas: Why it Matters, Where it Fits, and Why Our Industry Is Different.”

Oil & Gas is rapidly adopting the Unified Namespace (UNS) as a modern data backbone, but unlike other industries, we operate in a more dynamic environment. In this session, Lisa will explore how UNS is being embraced across the industry, while also being adapted, reshaped, and “oilfield-proofed” to meet the realities of our domain.

A UNS creates a single, real-time data layer that connects OT, IT, and business systems, using MQTT to organize operational data into a clean, hierarchical structure. It promises many of the same benefits seen in Industry 4.0: reduced data silos, consistent data models, and event-driven architectures.

However, oil & gas brings unique challenges that cannot be ignored, such as frequent M&A, massive data sprawl, remote assets, mobile field equipment, and constantly shifting infrastructure. While we share conceptual challenges with manufacturing, our physical and organizational environments are operationally more dynamic.

Lisa will also break down how companion philosophies, such as Federated UNS and Single Source of Truth, are being applied in live oilfield projects today and why they have become essential components of practical, working architecture in Oil & Gas environments.

Partner Spotlight: THRED and Edge-to-Analytics Connectivity

As the long‑standing leaders in bringing critical operational data to the enterprise, we combine our proprietary software solutions, ACM & eACM, to deliver data that organizations can trust at every step.

This expertise extends into our partner ecosystem. We’re excited to highlight THRED as part of this work, and we are actively developing a native THRED connector within eACM. This integration enables edge data to flow directly and efficiently into THRED’s analytics platform without adding operational burden.

Together, these capabilities support a shared goal: ensuring customers receive reliable, contextualized data all the way from the field to advanced analytics and optimization workflows. Whether it’s alarm rationalization, operational improvement, or enterprise‑level insight, AUTOSOL helps ensure the right data reaches the right systems efficiently, securely, and without unnecessary network or architectural complexity.

Learn About UNS Before ProveIT

If you’re interested in learning more about UNS before the conference, we invite you to join our upcoming webinar:

Unfiltered with AUTOSOL: UNS Without the Hype
📅 February 10

This session cuts through the buzz to focus on what UNS actually looks like in real oil & gas environments; what works, what doesn’t, and how to approach it pragmatically.

We look forward to seeing many of you at ProveIT and continuing the conversation.

If you’re evaluating how your connectivity architecture will scale over time, AUTOSOL offers a no-obligation assessment to help teams understand options and migration paths. Talk to our team.

Questions & Answers

What is a Unified Namespace (UNS)

A Unified Namespace (UNS) is a centralized, real-time data layer that organizes operational information into a consistent structure. By leveraging technologies such as MQTT, a UNS helps connect operational technology (OT), information technology (IT), and business systems while reducing data silos and improving access to industrial data.

Why is implementing UNS different in oil & gas?

Unlike many manufacturing environments, oil & gas operations often include geographically distributed assets, legacy infrastructure, frequent acquisitions, mobile equipment, and changing field conditions. These factors require a more flexible approach to implementing UNS than a one-size-fits-all architecture.

How does THRED integration benefit customers?

The native THRED connector being developed within eACM will enable operational data collected at the edge to flow directly into THRED's analytics platform. This helps organizations access reliable, contextualized data for analytics, operational optimization, and enterprise decision-making while minimizing integration complexity.

How can AUTOSOL help organizations preparing for modern industrial data architectures?

AUTOSOL works with customers to evaluate existing connectivity architectures, support SCADA modernization initiatives, and develop practical strategies that integrate technologies such as MQTT, Unified Namespace, and edge connectivity while preserving operational reliability.
